Vivo V19 Overview:

Basically, the takeaway features of Vivo Y19 is its huge battery, powerful processor, options for full expandability, and a big display. In Pakistan, the phone is available in two colors Magnetic Black, and Spring White. And after using this phone for a few days what are my thoughts regarding this phone? Let's see! If we talk about the design and build then in Vivo Y19 there is a pre-applied screen protector at the front of the display, whereas the back is of Plastic, and there are metal frames in the middle in which there is a a slight touch of copper given. In our today's Spring White handset, with White, there comes an Aqua or Sea Green kind of shade. Even so, being a Plastic build a good thing is that Vivo Y19 feels premium in hand the reason for that is this phone's weight and the shiny finish of the back which feels like a Glass.

The same Glastic type of look is given in this phone which we got in Vivo S1 before this. If we talk about the button placement then there are Volume rockers on the right side and the Power Screen On/Off button as well, there is a SIM tray on the left side of the phone and at the bottom, there is this phone's headphone jack, mic micro USB port and speakers are given. If we get to the Display in Vivo Y19 there are 6.53 inches of huge IPS LCD Display which has a resolution of full HD that is 1080 x 2340, and pixel density is 395 PPI.

Take a look at it,

Vivo V19 Display:

On top of the display, there is this dewdrop or waterdrop notch and the top and side bezels are slim whereas the chin is just slightly wider. If we talk about the quality then I found its colors to be really accurate while because of the 395-pixel density the screen looks very crispy, And in day-to-day usage video content consumption, and in gaming you will face no issues whatsoever. Along with it, having a full HD display in this price range is a plus point to a large extent, because we have seen in some other competitors 720p displays are also given like Realme 5s and Oppo A5 2020.

Vivo V19 Internals:

Now let's talk about some specifications and internals so, in Vivo Y19 there is a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset given which is based on 12nm architecture along with it, there is Mali G52 GPU in the phone. There is 4GB DDR4X RAM in the phone along with, 128GB built-in storage. Alongside this, there's full dual SIM support in the phone meaning there is a dedicated SD card slot in this phone, and in this phone, you can insert 2 SIMs and a micro SD card of up to 256GB all together. To review the performance let's first talk about the benchmark results of this phone in Geekbench 4 the single-core score of Vivo Y19 came out to be 1809, while the multi-core score came out to be 5699, and the AnTutu score came out to be 183855.

Vivo V19 Core:

If we compare these scores with the competitors it can clearly be seen that Vivo Y19 has left behind all the competitors. The single-core score of the competitors in Geekbench 4 is around 1500, whereas the Vivo Y19's is around 1800 because of a higher single core score, you get help in menu navigation and small tasks. And if we look at the multi-core score the score of Vivo Y19 here as well, is more than 300 - 400 points and because of a higher multi-core score, Vivo Y19 will be better than the competitors in heavy apps and games. On the other hand, if we talk about the AnTutu benchmark which also measures the GPU so, we are seeing a similar thing here as well, and Vivo y19 has left the competition far behind.

Where Redmi Note 8 and Realme 5s both are around 1,00,000 there Vivo y19 is around 1,84,000. In my eyes, these are excellent results. If we talk about the day-to-day usage then the phone ran really smooth here as well I did not feel any lag and this phone will easily run your daily used apps. And if we talk about the gaming we played PUBG on this phone and by default, the game ran at high settings, which was a surprise for me because in this price range I have not seen many phones in which PUBG will run at high setting by default but when I played Call of Duty in this phone that ran in low settings by default and I didn't have any options to increase those settings too high which is a very weird thing especially looking at the scores of this phone.

Vivo V19 Micro USB:

Along with that, a micro USB port is given on the phone. This is a slight downside, indeed, most of the phones in this price range offer micro USB, but we have seen that some phones have started giving a USB Type-C as well. So I didn't get that in such an amazing phone, where you have given an excellent processor along with great expandability options, why is USB Type C not given here.

But then again, ultimately, it is a minor thing. If we talk about speakers, then there is just a single bottom-firing speaker on this phone and the quality of it seemed fine to me for its price range. And even on high volumes, I did not feel any distortion or loss of fidelity. If we talk about interface, then in Vivo Y19, Vivo's own FunTouch OS is present. This is basically inspired by Apple iOS, therefore all the icons are present on the home screen. The menus look like that of Apple as well, and the control center also appears from the bottom of the screen like it used to in Apple phones before. So guys, on the basis of performance and internals, Vivo Y19 gets full marks, according to me.

Vivo V19 Battery:

Let's talk about this phone's battery now. A 5,000 mAh big battery is given in Y19 and in this phone, Vivo's Dual Engine Fast charging is also available. This is also the phone's big selling point. Because right now, in other competitors this big battery and fast charging, both are not available. Redmi Note 8 has fast charging, but there is a 4,000 mAh small battery. Whereas, in Realme 5s, there is a 5,000 mAh battery but no fast charging is present. Therefore, Vivo Y19 with its 5,000 mAh battery and its fast charging, is a clear winner.

Vivo V19 Charging:

If we talk about charging speeds, then 32% battery was charged in half-hour, whereas to get a full charge, the battery took 2.25 to 2.5 hours. Which, according to me for a 5,000 mAh big battery, is quite a decent result. And not only that, an additional feature is also given in Vivo Y19, because of which, according to me, you can call it a 'Battery King' or a 'Battery Monster' in this price range. And that is, a 5W reverse charging is also present in this phone.

And by using that, you can charge your smartwatches, earbuds, and other wearables like that And it is, indeed, a very convenient feature. Let's talk about the camera setup of Vivo Y19. A triple camera setup is given at the back, which includes a 16MP Wide-angle lens of f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP Ultra-wide lens of f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP Macro camera. The maximum video recording resolution of the back camera is set to 1080p at 30 frames per second. Whereas, at the front side a 16MP selfie shooter of f/2.0 aperture is present So the first thing here is that a triple camera setup is given in this phone. Whereas, the competitors, right now, are usually offering Quad camera setups. But one thing to note is that despite having a triple camera setup, this phone has the features that competitors offer. Like wide, ultra-wide, and macro.

Vivo V19 Sensor:

No specific depth sensor is seen in this camera. So this is a minor thing, ultimately. But where, this phone struggles, in terms of camera, that is a low megapixel count. If we talk about image samples, the color reproduction of Vivo Y19 is good and accurate. And due to the presence of an HDR, the dynamic range is fine as well. But because of the low mega pixel count of this camera, the images are grainy and soft in low light as well. This thing will be visible to you in a lot of images. And if we talk about the selfie camera at the front, then the story is kind of similar here too. The dynamic range is good, but the images were soft and grainy because of a low megapixel count.

The main sensors of most phones in this price range are of 48MP. It was Redmi Note 8 before, and now we have seen in Realme 5s too, there is a 48MP sensor However in Vivo Y19, just a 16 MP sensor is present. According to my, if the camera is a priority to you in this price range, then Vivo Y19 is not a good option for you. But still, if a camera is not a priority to you, then on normal everyday usage, this camera will work fine for you. If we move towards the closing, then I think Vivo Y19 has the full potential, that it should be titled as 'mid-Range Killer' or 'Mid Range Champ' And the primary reason for that is, this phone's superior processing power.

We observed how it surpassed all the competitors. Along with this, its big battery, fast charging support and reverse charging support are all great features. Alongside it, this phone's Full HD Display. These are all the things on the basis of which I can fully recommend this phone for those people who want to use their phone for gaming, or for power use, or productivity or content consumption. Basically. this is a good all-rounder phone according to me. I only have two complaints about this phone. One that no Gorilla Glass protection is given in its build quality but it isn't given in most phones in this price range. And the second thing is its weak camera.

These are the two things, they came forward as a weakness of this phone. What are your thoughts about Vivo Y19? Do you think it can win a 'Mid Range Killer' or a 'Mid Range Champ' title in Rs 32,000/- price range? Do let me know in the comment section below. That is all for this Post.
